Certified medical emergency
This program allows for electric service to be continued for up to 30 days for any qualifying customer whose disconnection would cause a medical emergency.
Qualifying customers include those with ventilators in continuous use and those on hospice care. Households with equipment such as nebulizers, home oxygen machines, CPAP machines, BiPap machines, dialysis machines or machines for breathing treatments do not qualify.
To receive this benefit, the customer must provide medical documentation from a physician.
